In accordance with the regulations set forth by the Republic of Latvia, we are committed to supporting the national bottle deposit system aimed at promoting recycling and environmental sustainability.

Mandatory Bottle Deposit Fee

As required by Latvian law, a mandatory deposit fee is applied to certain beverage containers to encourage responsible recycling and reduce waste. This fee helps support the infrastructure for collection, sorting, and recycling of used packaging, contributing to a cleaner and greener environment for everyone.

Fee Inclusion in Product Pricing

To ensure full transparency and simplify the shopping experience, we have integrated the mandatory bottle deposit fee directly into the displayed product prices. The price you see on our website already includes this fee, meaning there are no additional charges at checkout related to the deposit.

Deposit Amount

The current regulated bottle deposit fee is €0.10 per eligible container (or the legally stipulated amount). This fee is non-taxable and is returned to consumers when eligible containers are returned to designated collection points.

Product Eligibility

The deposit fee applies to products packaged in materials such as plastic, glass, or metal, as defined by Latvian law. Eligible products are clearly marked with the deposit system logo, making it easy for consumers to identify which items carry a refundable deposit.

Returning Containers & Refunds

Customers can return empty deposit-marked containers to any authorized return point across Latvia to receive a refund of the deposit fee. Return points may include reverse vending machines, retail stores, and designated recycling centers.
